 Arctic Rovers

Welcome to the Arctic Rovers Home Page

The Arctic Rovers--we travel the state!
As it name inplies, the Arctic Rovers do not follow the traditional camping schedule.  Their membership chooses to select locations that are a  little more distant from home base.  In this manner, they engage in more than the typical "weekend outing."  Many of the members are snowbirds, which makes winter meetings unlikely.  The random nature of their camping schedule leaves plenty of room for meeting people, making new friends, and seeing new country.  Some of these please include a week or so exploring the Kenai Peninsula, a week or more around the Fairbanks area, and possibly a week in the Chicken and Eagle areas.  Talks have included a run up the Dalton Highway to either Coldfoot or all the way to Deadhorse, but this is still very much in doubt.

While the chapter is still taking "baby steps" in its plans, please feel free to keep checking back for updates on some of the outings we are considering.

Arctic Rovers 2017

The Arctic Rovers are not only involved in RV camping and events.  We also provide support and volunteer time to help other organizations.  The following list of events has been compiled from suggestions provided by our chapter members.  It encompasses events over a wide area.  This list is tentative, and subject to change.  Please consult this website page periodically for updates on our events.

Our camping schedule is very flexible and our members are widely scattered.  The best means to contact us is through the Alaska Good Sam website.  Please consider joining us in our pledge to support worthy charities and causes.
